I just noticed corporate 8.25 axle in my jeep. Didn't really pay attention to it as I am still doing the head gasket.

So my jeep is 92 with corporate 8.25 axle. Is this like a special package or all 92 xj's came with 8.25. I do have a tow hitch in the rear, not sure if it's factory or aftermarket. Wiring seems factory. Is my jeep a towing package?
92 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 L6 4.0 H.O Sport. and how rare or common is to have 8.265 in 92 xj instead of Dana 35.

pretty sure the 35's only came in the ones with ABS, all mine have had 8.25 thankfully

All ABS cherokee's have d35's but non-ABS cherokee's were equipped with both d35's and 8.25's.

Well my XJ doesn't have ABS. not sure if it's good or bad. I guess if I was going to go offroad a lot, ABS is not that great. I had to replace the fuel tank as the old one was leaking at the seems. I am just glad I have 8.25 instead of d35. I've read they're a little better.
