KOH 10'

Alex,
Did I see you up above the waterfall in the videos? How'd you get there? Come on, quit holding out, what did you think of KOH?

Yeah that was me, on the backside of Backdoor their is a fairly large sand hill that I powered my way up, then down a small sand hill and through some rocks to get to where I was positioned. Overall KOH was amazing, got to meet some really cool people from around the country and wheeled a trail or two. We were camped with the Crane High Clearance crew and they were a blast to be around, great people with great products. The LCQ days and Race day were amazing, I saw some crazy stuff happening that I never thought I would see. Nicole Johnson was tired of waiting for people to get out of her way on backdoor so she tried to make her own line up a 10 foot vertical wall, it didn't work but it was entertaining. Walker Evans was sitting on Aftershock for a good part of the morning spotting people up for the race, it was great to see him sitting there and KOH drivers following his directions.

All in all I had an amazing time as I am sure that everyone there did, I can't wait for next year and the year after that. Johnson Valley has some crazy stuff, we ran my jeep up near 55 for a minute or two in some whoops and it was scary fun.:D

Man Crawl sure as their name on a lot of vest...anyone know if those people were actually working for Crawl (contracted or something?) or if it was just kinda the vest they ended up with?

~Scott

Every CRAWL vest was a CRAWL photographer, duh. ;)

-Alex

What I'm getting at is if they were contracted photographers or something. I figured they were photographers...but I also figured it's possible Crawl 'donated' a bunch of vest for photographers and such to use. I can't imagine Crawl has the dozen or more photographers I saw with those vest, and I can only bet there was more out there then that.

There weren't a dozen. There were 9 people that I can think of that were either photogs, or support (I called myself a chauffeur all week) wearing a CRAWL media vest.

John, Did you run the course... just for fun ? i assume you took "sublime" down there with you....

He was pitting for Ian Johnson and I was able to go prerun with them one night. John says "I'm not going to try to keep up with him in the whoops." Off we go and Ian pulls away, then John gives chase, it was fast and a sweet ride.

He made it to about mile 16. That goofy wagon was stationed near the middle of Crowbar, and I was stationed at the very bottom of Crowbar at Ballerina Rock, which is right between posts 16 & 17. Bummer, I was hoping to see Victor and myself with the ZJ.

Passed by Shannon at 8:33? Hard to tell, could very well be a different moon buggy.

Simply awesome!!!
There is even a few shots of Alex's MP Jeep at :42 in and 2:45.

Thanks for the video TORX.

I didn't get a college fund, my daughter doesn't need one either, Right?
