Has the rear wind deflector and roof mount spare tire carrier. Where do they put the A/C compressor on those? The alternator is mounted high. Some sort of brush guard thing but they don't have any pics of the full front.

I'm away from home till Monday, but when I get back, if nobody else beats me to it, I'll try to find the layout in my 99 FSM. I think they show both versions. I don't remember seeing where they put the compressor. If necessary I'll flag down my mail carrier. He has a pair of RHD XJ's.

Is it street-legal to have a RHD drive vehicle, other than being a mail carrier? Might be a dumb question....just never really thought about it. Seems like the engine bay is ridiculously clean and better set up than a LHD model....

Yep, its titled as you would a normal vehicle. no issues.

Looks like the gas pedal is on the right. Is that how British cars are set up or is that some compromise between a RHD for mail carrier duty and drivers who are conditioned to LHD pedals?

There are quite a few RH drive XJs around here that are used for rural mail delievery.
