HP44 retubing and inner C source

Picked up a 44 I need to retube. Seeing who has suggestions for places to go.

Also if anyone has any sources for picking up new inner c's. Thanks.

Why retube? What are you trying to do? That is usually a last resort solution.

Retubing really isn't that big of a deal, it's just expensive to buy new Cs and have a shop do the labor...crane makes d44 inner Cs, but they're $$$$....and crawlertech will retube your 44, also $$$.

Not sure what to do about the C's. Parts Mike was always the go to for standard C's, Crane was an upgrade option of course. Neither seem to be available anymore.

i have considered doing a hp44 center section then tubing it and using xj/tj c's and outers
basically making a tj rubicon HP44

IIRC, Frank's rig had XJ D30 knuckles on a HP ford 44 center section...

The machining on the crane "rockstar 44" was never finished so it was never a product for sale to the public....maybe the wide open design guys will finish it and start selling them, I heard they have plans to expand the crane product line.

I was considering it. But found a replacement axle. And my buddy running a ford wants this one. Works out great!
