Dana 30 Gear Pattern Help

Ok, found my notes. 97+ starting pack should be .065 and 97 and older should be .060. This includes the thickness of the slinger. If you're at .035 and the slinger is .020 then you are in the ballpark, maybe a bit shallow. What did the head of the pinion say, and what did the old pinion say? Those numbers are helpful.

Head of the new pinion said 2.263. Head of the old pinion said +2.

That's an Eaton Elocker, if you are wondering.

2.263 is the new pinion, D30 nominal pinion depth is 2.250, the old pinon was +2 so it was at 2.252, the difference is .011 thousand. So, have if you have your old stack, or know what it was, remove .011 from it and put it back together, then take a pattern.
