cowl filter/intake mod

Ehall, the more I read your threads on intake / cabin air filter & YJ bracketry swap the more I get inspired to duplicate your efforts on my own box. Great tech, man.
Flattery aside, question for you: how is it holding up 7 months later? Performance? I'm thinking about trying to sneak this one past the smog nazis here in CA but not as inclined if it isn't going to net me any power / mileage...

It's holding up great after the YJ elbows. It's not as obvious to me anymore but it's audible when I get into it. I removed the filter recently and it was fine, no stains or dirt patches just some leaf chunks on the screen (not blocking)
