ARB Headlight Harness worth the money?

I can't speak for the ARB harness. I went with a Dan Stern harness on my XJ and the e-autoworks on the wife's exploder. The qualiity was more mass produced with the e-autoworks but the outcome has been the same. After two years they are both working flawlessly, and the level of light output on both was greatly improved. If you are insistant on spending the extra cash I would go with Stern. He is local compared to ARB, his harnesses are hand assembled and US made, and I can vouch for the fact that he stands behind what he sells. Links are below.

After about 2 years, the unsealed relays on my Putco headlight harness got sticky. I grabbed a couple of water-tight Honda relays from the junkyard and that fixed it. I just bought and installed another Putco and AutoPals on my #2 XJ.

Building a headlight harness isn't Rocket Science, it more like a connect the dots puzzel. You can get good quality headlight plugs from any late model Ford van at the junkyard.

Below is my Cibie's w/55/60 osram bulbs and upgraded 5 mains, by 5-90 http://www.kelleyswip.com/price.html which made a difference on my stock sealed beams. Not to shaby by any means.

Now w/the Putco harness. For the install it was missing 1 electrical piece, I had something laying around and made it work. But hey for 26$ from amazon its stil a value.
Time of the evening was different. 9p for the above and 7:15p for below and still a noticible difference.

I've gotten good life out of the Osram bulbs, ~3 years, when one goes I plan on kicking it up a bit maybe some 85/80

I have less then $150 into the set up above.

I used the eautoworks harness for a year and burned through 3 of the hard to find relays. I am using 80/100 watt bulbs in my IPF housings though. I just finished making my own harness out of 10awg wire and 40amp "normal" 5 post relays. It took about an hour to do and is just as plug and play now as the premade harness was. I highly suggest it. The lights are even brighter now.
