98XJ $2,250

So after 8 years I am selling my 98 Cherokee Sport with a 5ish in lift and 35” MTR’s. This rig works great on all but the most hardcore trails here in Colorado and in Moab. With a little TLC you could even return it back to a DD/weekend warrior! I used it this summer drove it at highway speeds from Denver to BV did some wheeling over to Tin Cup then back roads to Lake City from there to Ouray then highway all the way home no issues all wail maintain the “posted” speed limit…Below I have listed most of the specifics I can think of but if you have questions don’t hesitate to shoot me a PM.

Details-

- 4.0L runs great with 130k ish on the clock w/ auto trans has a Rusty’s intake kit on it as well as Rusty’s Flowmaster 2.5” exhaust. Also has I believe the upgraded Excell coil pack, plug wires and new plugs.

- T-case has an Advanced Adaptors SYE eliminator kit. (the one that uses a 100% new shaft) and a newish maybe 4-5 runs old rear driveshaft from Drive Line Specialists

- Front axle is open D30 w/4.10’s has the Terraflex hi-steer knuckle on the pass side with new ball joints in it. The draglink is 1.25x.25 wall DOM with 5/8” heims. The tie-rod is 1.75x.25 wall DOM with 5/8” heims. Track bar has a custom axel mount and is also DOM with 5/8” heims the frame end uses a RE track bar bracket.

- Front suspension is one of the original Rock Krawler long arm kits with a radius arm on the driver side and RE 5.5hd coil springs for lift. It’s set up with Skyjacker shocks I believe 13.5” travel with internal bumps and Bar pin eliminators on top. This rig will run down almost any road (paved or dirt) at 70 assuming you balance the tires with no issues and is super stable.
-Rear axle is the 27spline Chry 8.25 with welded spider gears and 4.10’s. I have relocated the shock mounts so they don’t hang down nearly as bad as stock.

- The rear suspension is a set of Big Offroad 4.5” packs with the Heavy load rating (stock Cherokee+350lbs meant for rigs with spare tire carrier and or lots of camping gear and will hold the true 4.5” loaded) they have a military wrap and an anti wrap leaf. Also have 1.5” lift shackles in the back. They work great and I do have new rubber bushings for these I just never put them in. Has a set of Bilsteine shocks in the rear I want to say 10” travel.

- As for Armor it has a stock t-case skid. A I want to say Tomken but I could be wrong fuel tank skid. Front bumper is a custom tube bumper. It has custom rock rails with an offset tube for getting in and out as well as great for pivoting on rocks and trees!

- On the inside it’s fairly plain I have a full Sony Xplode CD player and speaker system. It is wired for a CB and I have a custom over head CB mount I made which I can toss in. I removed the carpet but I do still have it all and it just needs a good vacuuming and it’s good to go!

- Body is basically rust free and the paint is good however this thing has been wheeled over 1000’s of miles of Colorado and Utah trails so it has some scratches dents and dings that include one venture onto its side. I did put 4 rear TJ flares on it to cover the larger wheel openings and the wider tires. These almost look factory as most people don’t realize they are not factory. All the doors and windows open and close with no issues except the pass side front window motor is out it turns but makes a stripped gear sound.

So I’m asking $2,250 OBO also I will entertain other offers if they have to do with parts. Also would consider a cleanish MJ! I am currently looking for 1 ton running gear chevy D60, Rear 14bolt lockers full hydro steering air shocks all that kinda stuff so shoot me a PM and we can talk. Thanks for looking everyone! Please PM me!

I've got a PSC full hydro setup w/ pump, orbital, and double ended ram. Barely used 1 season. It's a 10" travel ram and the pump is for a 4.0l.

I've actually got all of the running gear you mentioned. GM D60 w/ 4.56's and an ARB, FF 14bolt w/ 4.56's and a Detroit.

the a pillar has a dent so no i dont think you would need to. its mostly the cowl and fender that would "need" to be replaced. but like i said im sure you could pop a new windshield in and with a bit of sealant get her water tight!

I think you're going to have to wait until after KOH for updates.

I apologies for not getting back to yall sooner I was out at KOH all last week. Please send me a PM if you are still interested!

Yep jeep cant go were I want to go any more so I'm going the buggy route and need the cash...or parts

OK after 2 "very serous cash in hand" buyers set up times to come take a look this past weekend only to no call no show im going to post this back up. I have cleaned out my PM box and now for easier contact my phone number is (813) 943-9932 Please call me if you are interested or have any questions. My PM box was filling up and lost track of some of the people that expressed interest. (it didn't help that i was at KOH for a week either) THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!
