2017 SEC Land Use

As you are all likely aware, the National BOD allots money yearly for each chapter to use as a fund matching donation to a local land use project or advocacy group.

In years past both Land Between the Lakes and Uwharrie National Forest have benefited from the Land Use funds.

While I have no problem considering them again for 2017, the BOD would appreciate learning of other land use opportunities in the states that comprise our chapter.

Please let us know if you have something local to you that we should consider.

I'm biased but Friends of Uwharrie and Uwharrie National forest appreciate all the help we've given them. URE is one of the last public trail system in the South East and to keep it we will have to continue the fight and support.
