    97-99 Engine into 88-96 Jeep Cherokee XJ

    I did not have a knock sensor on my '91 so I did not have to worry about this (Mine just has a plug in the block by the driver engine mount). If your Jeep originally had a knock sensor, I would keep the same sensor so that the ECM gets the correct voltage signals and can correct accordingly.
