93 manual xj intermittently not going into gear

This issue has started recently but has been getting worse, at a bit of a loss and wondering if anybody has any ideas. So every once in a while it will be really really hard to shift into 1st and 2nd gear, doesn’t grind or anything but just physically will not go into gear. Eventually I can...

Improving ride on a DPG OME lift

I bought my cherokee with a 2.5 rough country lift on it and the ride was obviously horrible so i finally got around to getting the dpg old man emu 2.5 ultimate kit installed on it. The ride quality is a little improved but not nearly what i was hoping for out of a $1,500 suspension kit. The...

    93 4.0 wont rev over 2k rpm

Me and a buddy re-installed the distributor today, it looked like the shop had it right but it’s good to know that it is for sure correct. It idle’d fine and even rev’d up fine. Got a few blocks down the street and it went back to its old ways, sputtering and misfiring every time I touch the gas...

    93 4.0 wont rev over 2k rpm

Wires are in the correct position, I had the shop double check the distributor timing was right after they put it in, but maybe it wasn’t indexed properly. I’ll give them a call on Monday, how hard is that to check on my own?

    93 4.0 wont rev over 2k rpm

The issues started with a crank no start that was eventually diagnosed as a cam shaft sensor, It was sitting for a few months while I tried to get it started on my own, replaced pretty much everything in the ignition system, plugs, wires, cap rotor, ignition coil, and crank shaft position...
