Definately check your auxilary fan. It should come on when you turn on the a/c. If it doesn't that's the problem. Maybe not the only problem, but I'd look into that. This fan also comes on at 215 or higher as the 4.0L likes to be around 210, anything higher and it should kick on.

The CSF 3 row is very good and Dirk is a nice guy over there who knows his XJs. He has about 5 on his website from family and friends.

The BGF AT is a great tire that should last 50k+ miles or so if rotated on a regular basis.

Re: Acetone will increase MPG?!?! Thanks for all the real world experiences with the acetone. With gas being so expensive, it's nice to see we can do some things to make the gas go further. What's the most acetone per 10 gallons that anyone has used, 4 ounces? I read in the article 2-3...

The doors are structural. You don't need them to keep the unibody strength, but if you twist up your XJ and it is old, then you might have a problem with them after dishing out alot of abuse on your XJ. I'm planning on making up some 1/2 doors.

Try to shoot for 3-4 back spacing on the 15 x 8" rims. You should be able to find them cheap, I see them alot here and on Pirate.

I 2nd this. Get a 3-4" lift and trim for some nice 33x12.50x15 mts and show those guys on big tires what a XJ can do. You will have alot of fun doing it too. You will have a real sleeper of a rig there bud. If you don't want to regear or get a xj 44 rear axle or 29 spline rear, then just get...

I suggest the CSF 3 row. I just put mine in and love it. Dirk is also a nice guy and easy to work with. He has multiple XJs and knows XJs pretty good.
