The main thing that bothered me in the original thing he wrote was "the right thing to do." He's got no right to judge what is right and wrong for me. And the fact that he owns not one, but two gas guzzling Jeeps with a "high flo cat" that probably don't do as well for emissions as stock ones...

Are you replacing anything else at the same time? Head unit, adding an amp, anything? Because running stock stereo power into good speakers really won't make a huge difference. It's when you start running better power (a good head unit or amp) to better speakers that you notice major...

I did a custom install...all front speakers in the front door - Alpine Type R 6" woofer, 5 1/4 woofer and tweeters. Put my crossovers under the back seat, amps on the back of the back seat and bolted my Focal sub to the floor in the rear cargo area. Alpine Type S are ok...personally wouldn't go...

I'd say that if you have time to do it now, do it now. You'll get a few funny looks and people telling you to get bigger tires (ran my 4.5 lift for quite a while with 30x9.5s) but the real wheelers out there will understand the process. They'll still laugh, but they'll understand.

the most obvious reason i can think of for this is moisture being held in by the carpeting causing the floor to rust. I would bedline the whole thing when you're done patching...inside and out. HTH

I'm trying to avoid buying a full harness, as I'm very capable of making my own. Just need to know how to connect to the bulb. Do you just solder direct or can you get another connector to go onto the back of the bulb, or can you somehow plug larger wires into the back of the stock connector?

How do you do this? I pulled my headlights out (put in Bosch H4s) and was going to upgrade my light harness, but I couldn't figure out how to connect larger wiring into the stock locations on the stock connector. Is there an aftermarket connector available that you can use? I know I'll see at...
