Bump.. time for 488s , ive learned so much since i started this thread, but want to make sure my d30 isnt messed up before i blow money on gears, shafts, possibly a locker, and an over the axle track bar.
CASE CLOSED. FUTURE READERS. WAS THE ECM ENTIRE TIME.
It might have had a slow bleed off issue also, that i fixed during the process.
But i let the Jeep sit Nov 25th until today Dec 1st. Sat for 6 days. Started FIRST TRY, on a cold start.
So folks, everyone overlooks the ecm, if you google...
**UPDATE**
I wanted to wait a few days before counting my ducks. I got a used ecm and BAM so many issues where FIXED! So folks, if your check engine light/pump delay TOGETHER, I would suggest looking at your ecm.

I do have to prime the system twice sometimes if it sits...
Its Thanksgiving, and lets just say, i let me jeep key sit half turned for 5 minutes, and it started RIGHT UP again, like i did last night, im so happy and THANKFUL i think i know the issue (ecm) lol

Thank you Patrick. I plan to try a part out ecm ($50) and if that works, than go new (if they even sell new ones) or buy remanufactured. Any recommendations of a good source/price?

So i pulled the asd relay, looks good, nothing looks burnt up or out of ordinary. BUT it is right besides the ac relay, which had an issue. The ac relays issue was the top wire of the relay, want to say 30? That runs from the box to the battery. My jimmy rig? Ran a new wire from that prong to...

Ill go back to my laymens terms than, my apologys. I put the key in the half turn position, half turned clockwise right before fully turning it clockwise.

Tried the cps trick. No luck. Nlow dryer broke though, #myluck lately... so didnt get to heat ecm......
BUT i read guys online that had the computer issue would turn the key to acc, wait 5-15 minutes, than come back and crank her up, well guess what, i turned it to acc waited 30 secs to hear...
Not a starting issue persay. In getting all these posts mixed up here lol, in the end, when i say starting i mean the fuel pump/ecm issue ive had since i first posted.

Just tried that, no difference. I plan to buy a used ecm and see if thats it. (If so ill splurge on a new one). But ive had a guy on another forum walking me through a lot of multimeter tests. Nothings unusual, says everything points to ecm?

1995 cherokee 4.0 i6 4wd. Tittle says it all. Usually only when cold starting.. ill turn the key to acc (you expect mr pump to whuuuuur) but nope. Sometimes it takes 20 seconds to 3 minutes. Sometimes itll whuuur right away.
Side note, was just chasing bleed off issues so i KNOW the pumps good...
The pervious problem is completely unrelated. I can go in depth later on how i know why.
I wish i knew what to meter to figure this out. Buddy has a $50 94 ecm i might buy as a gamble? Because what else controls BOTH the fuel pump and check engine light upon start up, besides the ecm?
