I went to change out the TPS on my 1996 with a 4.0L and the bolts were extremely stuck. I ended up shearing the heads off the bolts and now am at a loss on how to remove the bolts out of the throttle body. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I was browsing through the vendor forum and came across the pushbutton setup for the automatic. Looks like a sweet setup for relatively cheap. I was wondering who if anyone has this setup on their rig and how and what you used to set it up. Pictures would definitly be appreciated. Thanks
Would the faulty ignition wire cause the cps to go bad or is it more likely to be the camshaft position sensor that is causing the problems?
Also if I'm going to replace the cam sensor would it be easier to buy a whole new distributor or just the sensor?
I have a 96 with a 4.0 liter on which i recently replaced the plugs and wires. The ignition wire made a bad connection with the coil and caused it to stumble and eventually stall. Since then I have replaced the coil, ignition wire, and distributor cap and rotor, but the problem still exists...
I recently put on a new serpentine belt a few weeks ago. Last night when I was driving the gen light came on and the belt was squealing pretty bad. The voltmeter was around 9 I do believe. The squeal would go away and the volts go up when the engine was above 2500 rpms.
