    Need some help.. Starting issue

Ended up really simple.. I figured I would do a tune up even though the cap wires and plugs were only a couple years old.. Found this. That'll do it! I had my mechanic do the cps after he said he checked it over. He had it for over a week! I don't go to him for much, maybe I need to start going...

    Need some help.. Starting issue

My mechanic did a load test and said that everything checked out. All the grounds and power wires are new, I did them last year. Sanded the rust and paint off every ground point, even used a dremel brush on the bolts. New ground strap even. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Need some help.. Starting issue

The cps is oem. The idle control isn't though. Changing them made no difference. I remembered that the coolant temp sensor had been funky this summer reporting the wrong temps once in a blue moon so I replaced that and it started but idles very rough still. Doesn't sound like a misfire though...

    Need some help.. Starting issue

I'm on my phone and can't figure out how to edit my post.. "He thought it was the fuel pump but since he didn't observe a new start condition he couldn't test it." I meant no start not new. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Need some help.. Starting issue

The fuel pressure remains constant, and the injectors are only a year old as well. I can't get it started no matter how long or often I crank it. Luckily I have a 2nd car. My mechanic had the jeep for over a week and checked everything, and it was starting fine for him every day. Get it back...

    Need some help.. Starting issue

I have a 99 xj and for the past few weeks it began having a starting issue. It would start but idle very rough. And then it went away 30 seconds later and ran great. Then one day it cranked but wouldn't start. Then it started again and rough idle again at startup. I changed the cps with an oem...

    Snapped top shackle bolt

I soak down all my bolts for days before I touch them now.. Mix of acetone and atf. They slide out easy usually. What happened here is the end of the bolt was probably really rusty and it clogged the threads and got jammed. I would dremel a notch into it.. A really good one and try to turn it in...

    Tools I Rarely Use

I've got a lot of specialty gauges like compression, fuel pressure, ac manifold, etc.. Each purchase saved me money compared to paying a shop to do the work so they all paid for themselves. I've got a specialty Vida scanner for our volvo, I had the vagcom setup for my audi.. These tools are...

    Ghetto XJ OEM fixes!!!!

I think my most ghetto fixes recently are my hood release... Which works great! And using 1" square tubing and stacking washers to lengthen the rear shocks after lifting the rear, until I got a set of jk shocks. Sent from my HTC M9 using Tapatalk

    Help on lug nut

I would drill out the stud until it's hollow and then knock it out with a chisel and then replace the stud. I don't know what kind mess that guy left you with but a dremel can flatten it out and dimple it to start the drilling process. If you don't know how to drill out a stud, watch some...

Dissapointed with trans4mer. Should I be?

My Bronco had a grill guard in it when I bought it. Got into an accident and it destroyed both fenders and hood and grill. Without it, the bumper would have been damaged. Something that's going to stop hundreds of pounds of dead weight at driving speeds is going to look like a tank. Your...

If cleaning the contacts made it work, then also look at the connector and make sure those aren't corroded too. Sent from my HTC M9 using Tapatalk

Custom Tire Carrier Bumper Craigslist Find - Towing Concerns

You could definitely bring it to a welder and have them tie it into the unibody strips. That's what I would do. It was custom built so I would have them look it over for weld quality and design. It's possible that it would be fine, but it might need some modification. Sent from my SHIELD...
