This new radiator looks interesting. What is the overall thickness? And how wide are the tubes?

My XJ's Big Boy Stage II

I did not see a year for your XJ. I assume you have a 2000-2001 because of the two precats. Whose header did you get? David

Pre-Production Sneak Peak at Boostwerks Comp Mount

Very nice. This would go a long way to strengthen and reinforce the front unitbody. I already have Boostwerks' steering brace

Review: C4X4 Front and Rear Bumper + Tire Carrier

I had the same front and rear bumpers installed on my XJ. The rear bumper (with tire carrier) in 2002 and the front in 2006. I did not do the pre-runner hoop on the front bumper. I had a local shop fabricate a top hoop, that was similar to the old Warn XJ front bumper. Overall, I was/am...

Going to 1 tons. What is the best width axle

I will be doing a '78 Ford D60 at 6.25" and a '03 AAM 14-bolt at 68.5". I will be using wheels with 5.5" backspacing to suck the tires in. I believe H2 wheels have 5.5" backspacing.

Anyone running the newer RockKrawler LCA? How's the NVH?

I'm in the same boat. I have the Gen2 long-arm kit with the helm joints. I'm looking at options to place a bushing on at least one end of the control arms.

31" tires on 16" rims? What are you running?

Another metric size is 265/70R16 (30.7x10.4). Searches for off-road tires at tirerack.com and discounttire.com returned only returned all-terrain tires (e.g. BFG All/Terrain, Goodyear Silent Armor). All the other options were street-oriented tires. And from my experience, 245/75R16 has the...

    Gearing.....4.56 va 4.88's

If you drive on anything higher than an ant hill, get 4.88s. On the freeway, your rpm's will be approximately 200 revs higher with 4.88s than 4.56s.

detroit electrac is it worth it

If you wheel on moderate trails and not in the rocks, then sure. I put a D44 from an MJ in the rear as soon as this locker was first released. I liked the limited slip when unlocked. I eventually lost the external actuator and plunger after a bit of rock crawling. After obtaining...

Anybody have a Truetrac in the front?

I have had a TT in the front D30 for the past 6+ years. It has been unnoticeable on the road. I cannot attest to advantages or disadvantages in bad weather, since the desert doesn't have any.
