Okay y'all I have an 1989 XJ 4.0 yesterday I put a new fuel pump in the tank and I have the same situation however the difference is I have a brand new battery from O'Reilly and I get crank but no fire however I don't smell fuel at all any help

How about a direct swap, is that possible? I'd like to do a complete swap if that's possible at all.

1989 Closed Loop cooling system over heats. Thermostat and water pump has been replaced. New gaskets and sealed properly. New fan shroud and electric fan has been installed. Do any of y'all have an idea on why it overheated?

After the purchase of the xj It did drive, I drove it home. The replacement column is from a 95 XJ. The electronics on the lower section were different. So I swapped them over and made all the connections as previously aligned. Does the shafts to the column need any special adjusting?
