i changed the motor in my 89 to a H.O. and all i had to do was change the intake and exaust manifolds and some sensors and the water pump and hardware...

I just pulled my motor out of my 89 wuth the trany and transfercase all at the same time.. Just had to remove the rad support.. went easy little over 3 hours with 2 guys..

Hey Guys... I have an 89 xj cherokee sport im guessing.. It has no options!!!!! NONE!!! 320,000 km 3.5 inch rancho lift.. THe body is not in to bad of shape.. Has a little rust under back rear window on the pasenger side and a little on the rear door.. The Engine has about had it... i replaced...

Mine did the same thing.. And it was the switch just run down to your local wrecker and grab one and throw it in.. Fixed min in about 10 mins

Thanks for the help guys!! I figured out my problem today.. The guy who had my Xj before me must have mixed up the lines because the switch was not hooked up also.. so i fixed that and replace the lines with new rubber ones.. And no more problem... Thanks agian.... Tom
