    Mods...please delete my account.

I am no longer wishing to be a part of this board, as it has gotten to be pretty much a reflection of quite a few of the "other" boards as far as attitudes towards other people go...i.e. If your name is in black, regardless of the fact that it was red at one time, or you have contributed...

    New brushguard and steering brace...

Well, I guess that it is time to share a few pix of the lastest additions to my Jeep, so... The new brush guard ( made from a cut down fullsize Chevy truck 'guard) (I still have a bit of clean-up to do on the edges of the brushguard) And the new, stupid duty towhook mount/steering box brace...

    Okay, I give...

why is it that my XJ runs better with the MAP sensor vac. line disconnected than with it hooked up? If you pull the electrical pigtail off, the Jeep dies. Seems normal so far. If you leave the MAP hooked up completely, the motor will back fire, chug, have little power, and so on. I have allready...

    What is...

the most likely axle ratio in the rear of my new-to-me 1986 MJ. It has the 2.5 Litre, with 4-speed tranny, and 2wd. The axle tag is so rusty that it is worse than useless. Thanks in advance.

    My apologies to everyone...

that had planned to come and ride in the Red River Gorge a couple of weeks ago, but my family lost one of our own due to a fatal car wreck in MI. Normally, I would have left more info as to why I had to leave quickly, but this time, I felt that we needed to be present asap, as the person...

    Fried harness...

Okay, My friend finally got his XJ running. His son borrowed it to go to Advance to get some stuff. While in there, the remote start engaged, causing the Jeep to go for a drive. The Jeep ended up hitting a wall and stalling out, with the remote starter trying to re-start the Jeep until it was...

    How about these...

for vents in the hood. I am thinking that they give quite a bit of space for heat to escape, yet don't look like cheese. They kind of give that "heat extracter" look like some of the F-350 hoods that I have seen. Any thoughts? Dude... My phone camera has NIGHT VISION. WHOA!!!

Simple mod that saved my motor yesterday!

installed with later radiator. Flapper door removed, snout snubbed off, and flapper siliconed in place (it's snap, really). Don't forget to open the box back up! The flange fits a rectangle hose for hot air to the air cleaner for a FSJ. (flange also at the core support) It runs up to the...

    Won't start, cranks fine, ....

When it finally does start, the engine runs up to around 5,000 RPMS, and then stays there! We have even had to pull the coil lead to shut it down, as it will NOT respond to the key being turned off if allowed to reach "idle". Is a fresh rebuild, timing is dead on (checked many times!) also, no...
