Find those shims at a junkyard and center it up. the side that is off, is a good 3/4 to an inch to far back. The drivers side is maybe a half inch to far back. Make sure those control arms have matching part numbers/ lengths.

U Bolts go around the rail, pointing out. your lock nuts should be on the outside. If you have removed your factory racks, you will need to drop down the bottom set of holes to drop the rack down closer to the cab.
Just curious as to why you are discontinuing them? the 8.8 is by far the most popular rear axle swap into an XJ, and the bumper was top of the line. new design?
