Need YJ fuel tank, pump, skid and straps off of an 87-90 YJ EFI 2.5L , 15 gallon tank! Must be less than 31" wide. Being installed in my CJ and must fit between the fame rails.
Thanks
Ken
I've read on other threads that if your not going with a larger capacity radiator, don't go with the Flowkooler. I'm putting the Flowkooler on my CJ, but also going with a 3 core radiator.
Good Luck

I pulled a 4.0L out of my 89xj a couple of weeks ago. I had to really rock the engine pretty physically from side to side while keeping a forward pressure on the engine hoist. Watch out for the mount for the dipstick if you have an automatic. It wraps to the block side.
Good Luck

I pulled...
I assume that the exhaust manifold is for the 4.0L Renix system? I'm interested in the manifold for my stroker build. Do you take paypal? Do you have any pictures that you can send to my e-mail ([email protected])?
Thanks
Ken
I believe what you are seeing is the vent that comes off of the tank in two places and is tee'd together. It then goes along the frame(drivers side) to the emission canister in the engine well.
Good Luck

Looks great, hope mine comes out that nice. Was that a typo or did you use the 242 rods? I'm using the 258 crank and rods on my Renix build, is there something I am missing? Getting alot of info off of this site, from 5-90 and Dino's site. I would join but sold my doner vehicle after parting...
290k and pulled the engine apart to build a stroker out of it. Bearings, both rod and mains were still good, pistons were a little scratched but still good. The cylinders were 0.011 out from top to bottom. Still running good when I pulled it. Good engines in my opinion!

The Doc got me also. I'm currently building a stroker out of an 89 4.0 Renix, and the 258 (4.2) out of my 82cj7. The block has been bored .060 over, I just picked up an extra Renix TB that will be bored out to 60mm. Using a 258 oem cam and currently working out the CR and the quench. Going to be...
0 miles, still working on it, some parts at the shop, the rest at the machine shop. Probably should not have posted, but getting excited about a stroker in my rock-crawler cj7. Like reading about others success!
