I wish I could've done 2x6 and never have to worry about it ever again. Hopefully these will last me a couple more years until I get more serious with the build. I installed literally 50 rivets today, bought a pack at Home Depot, used them all... Just to be sure this is making contact. It's...
I'm almost done, the slip ons are installed. I need to install more rivets to ensure a secure fit, and probably going to repaint the rockers as they came pre-painted and I planned on using bedliner. That can wait for now. I also need to trim down excess metal from the slip ons that aren't needed...
Started prepping the rockers, cutting, grinding down rust, applied a generous amount of rust coverter outside and inside the panels for any remaining rust, applied engine enamel on the rest, now just waiting on the slip ons so I can install them. Boy there was a lot of dirt and rust in there...
Let me begin this thread with I have no experience in welding, nor have any buddies who know how to weld. I am full-time college and part-time salary and can't afford to bring it to a shop to repair my rocker panels. Currently the passenger side is surface rust from what I can tell, just...
Nice quick fix. I recently failed inspection because I switched out my side markers and parking lights for clear lenses and the bulbs weren't amber color. $10 and a trip down the street to O'Reillys and half an hour later I return and they gave me the sticker. They asked $50 to fix it.
Oh and...

Does your spare hit the latch? I have a spare 31x10.50x15 100% tread and it barely hits the back hatch interior panel. No problem with closing the hatch but it is rubbing up against it.
I would recommend it. Took me ten minutes to wire it up. I just have to take my door panels off now and lube up all of the lock mechanisms and what not. Passenger always work, drivers is intermittent and rear I have to manually lock. All actuators are good though, however.
I am going to ditch...
I received my package today, $25 and four wire splices later and I have a working keyless entry system! I tapped into the horn wire that was in the original RKE harness and while it works, when I tap the lock button on the receiver, it sounds the horn for a little too long, around two seconds...
Sorry if I am in the wrong section, figured it would be under modified since it's not really OEM... I searched threads to no avail on my question. I have a 99 Jeep Cherokee. Instead of paying $20 for a factory key fob and $70 to have it programmed I just bought an aftermarket keyless entry...
