thanks eflores, lots of food for thought. I have to have 4x4 in Steamboat for a daily driver, so I may just source the parts from a junkyard for the conversion on the MJ and trail rig the XJ.

hahahahahaha it totally is! def going to flip that. :confused: see this is my conundrum, I've read that the MJ 4x4 conversion is straight bolt on from an XJ donor, and it'd be a cooler rig in the long run. Should i just do the 4wd on the MJ, like standard 2-3 inch lift, tires, keep it otherwise...

this is why the "possibilities" are more confusing than anything. Really I would love to keep both, mild and wild, just wondering essentially if that was the direction i went, where should i start? should i try and find the parts to make the MJ 4x4 first then go from there? or just build a lift...

completely agree with the SWB. But I was wondering how hard it would be, or rather what dimensions i would be left with if i bobbed the frame and fabricated a flat bed? without actually changing a lot...
