As others have stated, degrease the engine and run it first to see where your leaks really are. 82k seems a bit early to lose a RMS or an oil filter adapter o-ring. I didn't have to mess with the either until well after 100k.
A leaking valve cover gasket will flow to the rear of the engine...
Take a look at your harmonic balancer as well. Start your engine and see if it is wobbling as it is spinning. Mine bit the dust 3 years ago and was making a similar noise to what you are describing.
My Autozone timing set lasted for about 2.5 years before it stretched out - and that was just from daily city driving. It had well over 1/2" of play when I measured it. I replaced it with a Cloyes 9-3127 double roller.
