Fan clutches do not last forever! They are relatively inexpensive and will cure the low speed temp "creep" most of the time. Low speed rise is directly related to improper airflow. My 99 with an entirely new cooling system never gets above 195.
My suggestion would be a flush and filter change. I use and believe in Lube Guard trans additive in the red bottle. I used to be a dealer tech and was actually advised by nissan to use this in the problematic Maxima transmissions. You can find it at Oreilly and it is the best $10 i have ever...
I just installed a stock replacement from Oreilly when i changed engines. The stock cooling system is fine if all components are functioning properly. I have no over heating problems, after replacing everything new. This includes a new fan clutch, which made the biggest difference.
