    Head Bolt Differences?

Ok, so interchangeable means I can use them and save myself a few $$$? The injector harness thing doesnt really make it a deal breaker for me anyway. Ive already removed all factory loom to replace / repair, and planned to just use zip ties to anchor the harness back down. Sweet! Thanks for...

    Head Bolt Differences?

Hey Guys, I have to buy new bolts for my 1989 4.0 engine head. Curious to know why the 96-01 bolts are 1/2 the cost of the 84-95? I can buy a set of bolts for 96-01 for $25, while 84-95 is $60! Looked up pictures of both sets, they look exactly the same. So why the huge difference in cost? Are...

    Valve spring issues

Tayln, Im stuck in a really low budget. Its taken me over a year to get where I am now in my rebuild. Im really hoping they will work, or Im out the money for buying them, and have to spend more to get something else. You say you would not run them on any performance cam, but is there a slight...

    Valve spring issues

The springs I have fit in perfectly. I think I will bolt it all together and spin the valve train around to see how it cycles. The spring ratings should be ok right?

    Valve spring issues

So you dont think those springs will be ok with my cam? Its not a high revving engine, I got a hold of Engle. He said their springs have the following specs... Spring OD 1.440” ID is 1.075” At 1.700” 115 seat 215 to 230 open at 450” to 500” lift Bind Height is 550” to 600" lift

After what Talyn said, do I subtract Bind Height from Installed Height? Because that would give me .685" Thats enough to clear my .476" lift with .209" to spare. Was I freaking out over the wrong numbers? lol!

How do I figure out Bind Height? What does that tell me for my setup? .476" lift creates what bind height? Something like that?

    Valve spring issues

Hey guys, got myself into a bit of a snag. First off, I bought myself the Comp Cams 68-232-4 camshaft. Then since I found out Comp doesnt have matching springs that fit out 4.0 head, I found on jeepforum.com an article that someone had said they were running the same cam with a set of Sealed...

    Compression Ratio Confusion... help!

I was told I needed Ford Blue 24lbs injector. Then a adjustable MAP sensor to curb the extra fuel to pass smog. I already have the 4 hole orange Ford injectors for a previous upgrade, and the blue ones Ive seen at $150. Im starting to get out of my confort zone on this, and I dont want all my...
