We were messing around with it last night and we disconnected the cat because when I started it the other day and let it run until it cut out again I looked at the exhaust and the cat was bright red and by disconnecting the cat I was hoping that would help and it didn't!! The restart issue...

Ok so here we go: I posted a few weeks ago about my jeep issues. So it fires right up and idles a little high(about 1200 rpms) Runs for around 5 minutes then starts to sputter, backfire then eventually dies... It will not start again until it is completely cooled down. I usually will wait...

I talked to the previous owner and he already replaced the cps.... I have talked to a couple different people and am maybe leaning toward fuel issue? I will keep ya'll informed once I get it figured out.... thanks for all the help everyone.. Mike(avocado)

The heater is not working so that makes sense if its the O2 sensor but which O2 sensor is it?

It does not start up right away once it dies. I have to wait til it cools down completely. It almost acts as if it gets flooded??

I was having issues with idle and got some ideas naxja friends so I replaced the TPS and Idle seems better but it still dies after it warms up... My brother mentioned it could be the coolent temperature sensor?? Any comments on that?? thanks, Mike(avocado)

I need some help! Started up my XJ yesterday after installing alternator(not related to issues, was running high prior) Started out about 1500 rpm and slowly climbed higher. Soon it starts to Mis-fire or backfire out of the exhaust until it finally died... seemed flooded maybe??? Any ideas on...
