Helping others work on their Jeeps

Schofield Barracks, HI. I've met a few Jeepers out here from Oahu Jeeps and out at Kaena Point. Funny thing is, I should be getting my E5 next month, so if he gets lippy again, I'll just put him at parade rest, lol ...only kidding, I would never do that :twak:

Helping others work on their Jeeps

hahahaha, that is great! I've never heard that. Matter of fact, we couldn't get a complete cut through one of his stripped skid plate bolts, so he started banging the crap out of it with a mini sledge and it finally broke off. Very fitting quote!

Helping others work on their Jeeps

That's how I am, I'll admit I don't have all the answers and there are plenty on this forum and others, who have way more knowledge than I do and I listen to their advice. I help others where I can and if I don't know the answer, I'll find it on youtube, forums, FSMs or trial and error. I'm...

Helping others work on their Jeeps

He does take pride in his TJ and likes to boast of all the wheelin he has done in it so I think it's just his young pride getting in the way I suppose. But no, we are in the same Company in the Army, so there is more to our friendship than that, but I see what you're saying.

Helping others work on their Jeeps

You are exactly right, I've even heard him say..."I might as well just sell it and find a stock TJ to start over with" and I'm like "Are you serious?" haha

Helping others work on their Jeeps

Gonna vent for a second... I think if you are going to do something, do it right. I mean if you are gonna continually fight with your Jeep everytime you have to do something, because you have to spend the majority of the time un-f***ing what you did before, isn't it time to start thinking about...

    Track bar choices

Not many people know about Metalcloak, but check out their new double shear design that uses an RE frame mount. Probably what I'll upgrade my existing metalcloak trackbar to one of these days. http://www.metalcloak.com/TJ-Long-Arm-RE-Upgrade-Front-Track-Bar-p/7095.htm

    Team Cheerokee Rant

I placed an order on 18MAY2015 and after almost a month of no contact or return contact, I opened a paypal dispute and filed a complaint on BBB, I just got off the phone with them today and they were able to refund my money. I would really like to open a class action suite against them or find...

    Bolt in Shackle Relocation Kit

Good choice. Made up your mind quick, haha I was going to recommend looking into Liquid Iron Industries brackets. They give a little lift, but are solid as a rock. I would've also recommended the JKS boomerang shackles, but like JBH said, It's not a super critical part.

2014 Cherokee emblems on 01 Cherokee

Thanks guys. I ended up spending around $80 for all the emblems off of eBay. The stickers were cheap though.

2014 Cherokee emblems on 01 Cherokee

I wanted some dark grey emblems and plasti-dip didn't work out so well for me, so I thought I'd see how these look. I'm happy with them. I just have to figure out how to bend the hard plastic to fit the curve on the front grill. Maybe a little heat will do the trick. And a couple of "easter...

95 XJ Help me fix it up to sell it

I plan on using fibglass resin for the large hole (pictured) and a body patch with body filler for the smaller hole (not pictured). It looks like the PO tried to fill the hole with spray foam, which probably held water and made it much worse than it was. Now what do I do with this mess...

95 XJ Help me fix it up to sell it

After the transmission was solved, the next biggest problem was the rear hatch would not open. This prevented me from even getting to the rust outs and cleaning the rear hatch area. After trying WD40 through the key hole to no avail, I ended up cutting an area to I could manually operate the...

95 XJ Help me fix it up to sell it

This Cherokee has been in our Engineer Company longer than I have. I know of 5 owners personally. It has been sitting for a year or so, and the PO never got around to fixing it. The transmission wouldn't shift, so I paid $300 to take it off his hands. I already fixed the transmission and overall...
