i have an 89 4.0 before i put my "ebay snorkel" on i was running a cone filter with a home made adapter on mine and didnt notice too much difference...maybe a lil more pep but not much ya know...it did whistle when i got hard on the pedal im sure if you put a heat shield on it it might do...

i have an 89 limited that came with the keyless entry *OLD SKOO KEYLESS* its the little eyeball thing between the visors.....i removed it and used the power and ground wires from it to wire in a cd up there....works great..(WORKED great) anyway...i also wired in an electric fan bypass switch...

i have heard the same.. the place these pics were taken at is reallly reallly nasty from all the rain we had lately and so we wont be going back out there till it dries up.... there are several lil hill climbs out there..some of which are kinda tricky and a little bit steep *esp for kansas*...
