Yeah, I read that, and I've read other threads about it, as well as some saying that it's ok to just leave it in there and it'll get chopped to bits but I was hoping for someone who's actually left it in there and it's not done any damage... Thanks for the input y'all..... The culprit was a faulty fan relay, sometimes it worked (everytime I checked, the fan was working) apparently after a bit of driving it would stop working... anywho replaced it and no issues now.
