i don't think there's much more that could've really been done. i'm not sure at this point what it reeaallly was. i'm thinking that the cap was bad, didn't hold pressure, let all the coolant out, then the engine got hot. after i put the new cap on, refilled and burped it, i ran back to shaver...

There, I fixed it after re-reading your first post a little closer.

my only input is that if this were mine i'd like to see the pass. side upper link mount gusseted. i know it's probably fine, but i like things to be a bit on the beefy side. other than that i think it looks fine so far.
