I'm pretty good with electrical stuff...
This has me stumped, slightly.
The light for the rear plate/tag stopped working, bulb is good. I tested the socket- no power. I tested the wiring to the socket- no power.
I checked each fuse 3 times- no bad ones.
I did a continuity test on the wiring...
anything can be done = $
Start with the basics...
what year is your XJ?
what motor is in your XJ?
what transmission in your XJ?
what aftermarket parts are on your XJ?
From my understanding, (non-renix) 4.0L blocks are all the same, it's the stuff bolted to them.
If you're willing to swap parts...
I love the roar...
and mine never goes above 206deg, usually 195 to 198 even on a Hot South Carolina Summer day with or without the A/C on.
Rock solid.
The question that should be answered before you ask that is... How many times do you want to do or pay for ball joints to be replaced?
If you say least as possible then use the best parts available.
I went to plug in my laptop charger and it didn't work. I busted out my multimeter and the outlet only has 8.2volts :dunno:
Could someone here test their outlet and let me know what voltage you have?
thanks! I have an early 1999, I guess it might matters, right?
I'm thinking I might just wire...
If you don't do any hardcore stuff or plans, then there is no need for other gears. As for MPG I think the 3.55 will give you the best, I could be wrong but don't think so.
The C8.25 is good as you know... And it would take a lot to blow that up- so I don't see a need for the 8.8. Nice to have...
