It does not grind if i double clutch and i have not changet the fluid but i plan to fairly soon. I feel the grinding in the shifter as well as the noise. Do you know the correct type of fluid? Thanks

My transmission is making a grinding noise when and only when I shift into second. Usually the noise stops when the engine is warmer or I shift at a higher rpm. It is a 2000, 4.0, 5-speed manual. I dont know if my transmission is going bad or I need to replace the bushings or what, any help...

I bought my first XJ. It is a 2000 4 dr 5 spd with a little over 160k, and I put some 235/75 mt's on it. I cant wait to try them out. :)

Its the only car you have ever wanted, and have drempt of owning one for years, and when you finally get it there are plenty of things wrong with it, but it was love at first drive. :)
