So finished up overhauling my brakes, adding new shocks, changing all the tie rods, and doing a number of completely unrelated things and took her for a test drive. She immediately threw a P0456 (small EVAP leak) :flamemad:
After looking through the hoses and not seeing any clear hose issues...
Howdy y'all, bought a rusty jeep and the hard brake lines started breaking when I did some basic brake work. I decided to go with a full SS hardline kit from SSTubes, as I didn't want to fool around with flaring and bending everything myself, and new Raybesto soft lines. Everything went together...
I've been trying to troubleshoot an issue that's been an annoyance for some time now and before throwing any more money at it I figured I'd see if anyone might have an idea of where to start.
Vehicle Deets: 2001 2wd XJ with no lift (227k miles)

I'm almost done on my 2wd 2001 XJ front ball joint and wheel hub replacements. I've seen the torque specs for the 36mm axle nut is 175 lbs but it seems pretty high for a 2wd axle stub that serves limited purpose. Also, the axle nuts came off with relative ease so I'm curious if the torque was...
Hello All, I've been searching around the forums for a couple days and figured I'd just ask after having limited success. I'm replacing my power steering pump and have got to the point where I need to put the new pulley on the new pump. I did a dry run with the old pump and had a really tough...

I searched the forums for some time and tried most all suggestions but nothing has worked. I've gotten to the point where I almost want to sell the damn thing.

NAPA TPS and IAC Sensors Brand New...
:soapbox:
Ugh, NEVER BUY AN EBAY CPS. Actually stay away from EBAY for sensors in general. Yeah they are 40% cheaper than OEM or NAPA parts but they LAST 1/12 of the average life span if they are not DOA to begin with.
Here's the logical argument:
EBAY CPS: $50 / Lifespan: 5,000 Miles...
:smsoap: I'm pissed, spent the weekend under the XJ replacing the AW4 Filter and Lower Control arm bushings (don't ask why it took me all weekend) and now it won't even start.
I decided to go for a test drive after finishing the lower control arms today but it didn't start right up which is...
Hey Guys,
I thought I would take on my lower control arms this weekend as the bushings were in pretty bad shape. This was a mistake. I'm on day two and now realize why the arms weren't going back in. The entire front axle shifted 3 inches towards the driver side and now they won't line up (boy...
