I'm actually going through this stage now.
I sold my 99' XJ that was on 35s (front TJ D44 w/locker and rear 8.25 w/4.88s) in the hopes of buying a used JK (I'm on a college budget) to daily drive as driving the XJ wasn't that great.
I found a used 6 speed 2008 2 door with everything manual...

Selling the axles under my XJ. Front TJ D44 with factory locker and pump w/4.88s and rear 8.25 with 4.88s. Does not come with steering.
Ideally I want to trade for stock axles plus cash, so what about $1300 plus stock XJ axles (8.25 rear preferably)?

I too have one and man it gets loud. Considering going back to OEM because it is my DD and it feels like I lost a bit of power.
