ive run 4.88s in my lockrite'd 30 on the unit-bearing hubs and had no problems with the gears or anything at all. i DID go through hubs quickly, but i dont attribute that to the gears at all. i was light on the throttle though, so that always prevents broken parts (or at least makes them last...

might have better luck posting this in a tech forum....this is the for sale forum the conversion kit should add 1 3/4" to your overall track IIRC, so figure on about 1" per side. you can keep your wheels and not worry about it, you can keep them and get spacers for the rear, or you can get 2...
