I can solder well enough, I just can't figure out how the lever comes apart once it's removed from the column. I might have to break it up just to see how it's put together.

My 89 XJ Cruise Control (also, wiper delay and WW Washer) wires have broken off the lever. I see that I can get a replacement lever on eBay for about $20 but I'm wondering if anyone has re-soldered the wires on the original lever. I just had the steering column apart to tighten the Steering...

I guess I've been in a coma for a few years :roll: You can buy the large pop rivets from Home Depot. At least you could buy them - it's been a while - I used them to put in a new Power window regulator in my 89.

Just updating this thread..... Jeep has been running fine for the last 6 weeks or so with no stalling. The only thing I did was to add a bottle of fuel conditioner (specifically one that removes moisture) x two tanks of gas. Not sure if that resolved the problem or if I'm just on a temporary...
