    Heater Core?

Okay, okay, it wasn't that bad, just time consuming. It's all back together and actually went back in fairly easy. (Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself by saying that.) Anyway, did the test drive and all good with the exception of the motor did get a little hot for a brief period. I think...

    Heater Core?

Be very glad, if they are easier than the later version! Holy sh!t! What a pain! It's like they built the Jeep around the heater box! Haven't had the time I wanted to spend today, so back at it tomorrow. My dash is tore to pieces! Yikes!

    Heater Core?

Well, I picked up a heater core today and I'm going to start this mess tomorrow. Wish me luck, I'm a little nervous about dismantling the whole dash.:puke: I hope I don't wind up with a bunch of squeaks after it's back together.

    Heater Core?

Holy Crap!:wow: I didn't think the whole dash would have to come out! That's engineering genius! That sucks! My XJ also doesn't blow very hot air from the heater, so I'm sure that's the problem.

    Heater Core?

So I get to work yesterday and notice I have some fluid (appears to engine coolant) in the driver and passenger front floor boards. Not a ton, just a little. Smells like antifreeze in the cab. Also, there's a vent tube coming off the fire wall on the passenger side leaking coolant. Busted...

    Turn signals and return?

I have a couple problems with my turn signals and could use some help. 1. My turn signals stop flashing, mostly when the weather is warm, and stay lit up solid. 2. The turn signals wont return after turning the vehicle, like it has broken tabs inside or something. If I replace the turn...

    Oil filter adapter question

I'm needing to change the oil filter adapter seals on my '98 xj. The local auto parts store has a kit for this, but the kit only says it's for 1987 - 1996 jeep xj 4.0 liter. Will this work on my 1998? My xj is a 1998 4.0 liter, auto tranny, sport 4x4. Thanks for any advice.

    window?

I have a '98 xj, and the stationary glass on the back door on the drivers side is broken. Can I replace this with glass from any year xj or are there certain years I need to look for? I found a complete door off a '92, will the glass from that fit a '98?

    Newbie questions

I've been waiting and watching for a deal on my first XJ, and it finally happened! I picked up a '98 Cherokee 4 door Sport 4x4, with the 4.0 & automatic tranny. All stock with 170k miles (kinda high miles, but I couldn't pass up $1500.00) All in all it's in pretty good shape, after cleaning up...

    MJ Conversion to 4x4?

Wow, thanks for all the useful info! I thought of another question, the 2wd I'm looking at has a lift on it. Will the lift on a 2wd work on a 4wd? Or will it need a new front suspension? It a 1989 by the way.

    MJ Conversion to 4x4?

True. There's a guy here in AZ that has a nice 4wd for sale, but is asking $8000.00! That's a little steep for me.

    MJ Conversion to 4x4?

How difficult is it to convert a 2wd MJ Comanche to a 4wd? Anyone here ever done this? I found a clean MJ for sale cheap, but it's 4x2 and I would want it to be 4x4. Is this worth doing? Too costly?
