Awesome build! I am going to steal a few of your creations on my Xj build. Do you happen to recall your coilover spring weights? Or just wait your combined spring stiffness is?
Thanks! Awesome build :greensmok
I was thinking pressure in general. Pressure equals opening area times velocity. The flowkooler pump definitely adds velocity therefore the pressure should increase.
I wasn’t sure if people generally agree with that in this sort of system.

To those who run a flowkooler waterpump on their 4.0s
Do the radiator and heater core hoses come to a very high pressure pretty quickly? After warm up the hoses are pretty tight when I give them a squeeze. I can't really convince myself that the pressure should be that much but the engine temps...
I believe it is 1 inch diameter. It didn’t limit any suspension articulation. I mounted the bar with some basic poly energy suspension sway bar bushings. No issues.

I made a cheap antirock bar a few years ago. Someone on NAXJA started the thread. Use a torsion bar off of an Isuzu rodeo and weld the key ends onto some arms. It worked pretty well. My arms coming off of the torsion bar were 0.5 inch thick.

Better off practicing shifting the atlas back into high range. 30mph in low range is going to really heat up that gear case.

I was doing all of the fabrication in a separate garage space since I was living in an apartment for the last three years. Just bought a house so I got it finished enough to bring home and finish the build.

Nice tube work! This forum really went down like 2 years ago.
Are you planning on tying the cage into the front of your XJ? Seems like there would be a lot of significant structural gains by doing that.
Front stretch without moving anything is 2” max for sure. I found the pitman arm to be the first thing in the way after the trac bar.

I’ve seen a few rigs with shaved 8.8s. That link seems to cover all you need to know. One guy in his thread said he used a flap disc to shave the ring gear lol.

Been there twice. It’s pretty damn pricey. Talking $80 just for the day. Do yourself a favor and go hit Harlan/windrock/rausch creek.
My rig is on jack stands at the moment so I am not going.

Remember you have a ton of heat blowing off of the block right in front. I can promise you if your entire trans was really getting that hot you’d be having issues.
I’ve driven around with no cover over the trans tunnel and it starts to bake! I think you’re trans and the oil in it is fine...
