    Exhaust Pipe Oil Pan Question

    Have an 01 XJ 4.0 Automatic. Just repaced engine with reman, when bolting up the exh. pipes to the manifold, notice that the exh. pipe is touching the side of the oil pan, is that normal, seems like there should be a little more clearance. Thanks, Dale.

    Installing reman 4.0 engine in 01 XJ, Manual says to mark flex and torque converter. I did not do that, is it critical that the flex plate and converter are reinstalled in the same position as original. Thanks, Dale.

    Chrysler 8.25 vrs Dana 35

    Have a Dana 35 in my 01 XJ, found a Chrysler 8.25 from a 98 XJ considering installing the 8.25, however there are no backng plates or brake parts with it, will the brake parts from the dana 35 fit on the chrysler 8.25 Thanks for any help, Dale

    Engine for a 2001 XJ

    Have a cracked 0331 cylinder head and low oil pressure in my 01 XJ. I found the crack in the head by using a coolant system pressure tester, With the Valve cover removed. Could not see the crack but could see green coolant after applying pressure to the cooling system. Leak is between 3 and 4...

    Have 01 XJ with a good body, but needs engine, has low oil pressure due to a cracked cylinder head. Want to avoid 2000 and 2001 engines because of the 0331 head. Will a 4.0 engine from a later year 2002 and newer Wrangler, Grand Cherokee be a direct replacement? Will an 1999 or older...
