Does anyone have a full replacement tube/flat fender on the market? I've got to replace a fender and figured now was the time to replace both entire fenders.
Anyone have any opinions good or bad about "Ring and Pinion Service" in Rancho Cordova? I spoke to Mike over there today about a gear swap and they seem to have their act together. But before I drop thousands I want to hear some opinions.
91 XJ 4.0 AW4
After installing the replacement 4.0 the ignition key wont pull out. It won't turn all the back to the proper position to remove the key. I think it may have to with the tranny shifter adjustment. Any thoughts?
We are replacing the engine in my 91 XJ (4.0L and an AW4). The problem is it simply doesn't want to line up with the mounts. Left to right in the engine bay doesn't seem to be correct. It's almost like the block (from a 96 ZJ) is too wide or the brackets (swapped from the original 91 block)...
Check out the picture of what looks to be a rock buggy on Bruce Jenner's trailer. Was he at the hammers? OMG!

I recently purchased a new yellow top Optima (so what you ask?). Since I was using the stock tray and battery hold downs I promptly threw away the included Optima brackets (that attach to the bottom of the battery). I'm now going in a different direction and I'm going to use the DirtBound...
So I'm picking up a 4.0 from a 96 Xj and going to install it into my 91 XJ. Is the pulley/accessories the same? If not which should I keep? What about the electrical connectors? What other issues will I face?
One more thing, is there anything I should do to the engine bay or engine itself...
We're not sure how exactly she did it but my Daughter blew up her NP 231 (TJ, 4.0L, AX-15). I mean blew UP. She was driving to school on the freeway and blam, the case is literally in pieces. So we are looking for either a stock relacement or something with a SYE or 4 to 1 or even an Atlas...
I rarely drive the 91 XJ, maybe twice a month and only wheeling/camping/other recreation. I do have a winch with a stock alternator. I'm planing on upgrading the stock wiring (5-90 if available still).
The blue top says it's "starting/deep cycle" while the red top states it's "starting"...
So I bought a new tranny mount from O'reily's and it has an angle to the thing wear the crossmember bolts up to it. In other words it's not flat. Is it supposed to have an angle and if it is which way does the angle go?
So I purchased a new transmission mount from Oreily's and it has an angle to it where the crossmember bolts up to it. Is it supposed to have this angle and if it is which way is the angle supposed to be?
Legally speaking, is this possible? What if I basically used the new engine as a "long block" and swapped over all of the bolt on stuff? Are the blocks the same? In other words, I know the accessories are in different places (ie; alternator) but are the 91' type accessories able to be bolted...
