The SBC is cake. Pick up some mounts and put that sum bitch in there. The 6.5TD is just a SBC on steroids. The only thing I would say is you might have clearance problems with the turbo on the passenger side.

i agree w/ Brett about the 5.0 being a potent SOB! I like fords but i also am a chevy man. A good carbed/paned 350 w/ a lil machining, custom heads, and headers will cost about the same as a stroker 4.0. 350 SBC are everywhere and are a dime a dozen. i also enjoy the mopar side too. 360 magnum...

if you really want ground clearance and may upgrade tires sometime i say unimog axles. w/ a 37" tire you have 17" of ground clearance. I am still debating whether or not im gona dump my rear 60 and quit looking for a matching front and go mog. i like the idea of ground clearance and strong axles.
