Have you broken any 30 spline shafts, and if so what size tire were you running? Trying to decide if I wanna upgrade to 33 spline shafts over 30 spliners in my new project. Only gonna run 35's.
Anybody running 33x12.50 bias TSL's, will you please take a measurement and give me the height as it sits on your jeep. The Interco site says they are 33.7 inches tall but that is usually with no weight on it, and no wheels mounted. It will be very much appreciated. Thank you.
You guys found any reason to run a tire bigger than a 35 inch tire in the NW? I was thinking about going to 37's along with the front 44 I'm building, but I need someone to talk me out of it. I DD this rig, and I'm starting to think I should just stay at 35's and be much more reliable. Whata ya...
Why is TNT's over the knuckle steering kit $100 dollars more than JCR's? Am I missing something here? I'm building a front 44, and the tubing and tie rod ends are just as much as the complete kits. Which one should I go with?
Anyone every run an aggressive powerlock in a D44? How do they perform offroad? Thinking about purchasing one, but I'm looking for something cheap. Other than a lock right.
I broke one of the ears off the bell housing. Its the upper mount for the starter, now with just the lower bolt the starter tries to rotate when I turn it over. Anyone else had this problem. I hope I don't have to pull this tranny, and replace the bell housing just for a starter mount. Any...
I have a pair of brand new Alloy 33 spline shafts for D44. Has wheel bearings, seals, and lug nut studs in the kit. $200 firm plus shipping. I can also get a new 33 spline Detroit or ARB if needed. Located in Everett Washington.
I'm in the process of putting together a front d44. I don't have all the neccesary tools to make my own brackets. I was looking at the Clayton, and RE brackets. What are the differences in these? Both kits are $400, and I want to make sure I get the best kit. Any suggestions?
Anyone know the spring rate on these? How do they ride? I'm looking for a nice stiff spring, that'll give me about 5" of lift. I'm thinking of going with the 4" ZJ coil. Any input?
Getting ready to install my Clayton long arms, but all I got was the 3 pieces of the crossmember and the arms. Isn't there some sort of braces that go on either side of the control arm mount? Didn't get any instructions either.
I know T&T makes a quality long arm kit, but does anyone have any experience with their sliders? I like the design, but how do they hold up? They are pretty expensive compared to say AJ's and the JCR rails.
Is there that much more offroad capabilty when jumping up to 35" tires over 33's? Is the added stress, worse gas mileage, worse steering, and brakes really worth the jump on a DD?
I've been looking at buying the second generation rockkrawler long arms. I've read a few posts, on how the new design is bigger and better. Anyone had any problems with the new kit? It's been out for a while, and I'd like to see if anyone has had any problems yet? I like the 3 link set up, and...
I'm running about 6.5 inches with 35's. I was looking at the currie hd setup. I want something that will bolt on, and is pretty easy to install. I'm running the stock 30 right now, but intend on getting a hp 44 in a couple of months. First of all will the currie system bolt up to the 44...
