Update:
replaced crank pos sensor again.
replaced pick-up sensor in the disty.
both primary coil wires have continuity back to the ECU.
still no voltage on either primary coil wires, actually i have 0.01 volts.
has anyone had to replace the ECU? $75 from junk yard.
ordered a FSM also
it sucks not know what the heck i'm doing.
i'll check the coil wires out of the ecm and recheck the cps.
what about the sensor in the in/ under the dist cap and the sensor that is down lower under the dist that get in the way when changing the oil filter. what are those?
i got 0L on every Ohms scale so my cps must be ok.
so i'm back to ground zero.
will a bad cam shaft sensor keep me from getting a zero voltage to coil?
yeah thats what i thought but then i found on two websites that 0L mean infinity
check it out
look just above the figure 9 pic

look under Multimeter Terms, at bullet 7

i'm really stumped at why the codes will NOT flash on my odometer and why there is NO voltage going to the coil.
where do those two wires on the primary terminals on the coil come from?
My meter manual says the ->+ is for testing diodes. so now the question is what does .0L mean.
ok, here's the test results.
i used the ->+ setting since all the other settings only gave me .0L, 0.L, or 0L. on the screen. i am not experianced with using a meter.
while looking at the end of the disconnected harness and the clippy thing on top (clippy thing being the part of the...
i found two specs, which one is it.
"Connect an ohm meter between the leads. Cold, you should read app 250 ohms. Anything in that ballpark indicates a good sensor."
"Place ohmmeter across term B and C ,meter should be set to 1K-to 10K scale. The meter reading should be open no resistance...
