So I just recently swapped out my dana 35 for an 8.25, everything is all hooked up,the swap went fine. But on the passenger side rear leaf there's a gap in between the top and second to top leaf. Any ideas of why this would happen? And how I can fix it? Any help at all would be great, thanks.
Thanks for all the advice thus far guys.
I was also wondering about painting and rust proofing the axles before droppin them on. How would I go about doing this? What kind of paint etc?
Next week I'll be swapping my front and rear axles. Front with another dana 30 and rear with a 8.25 .
Are there any write ups on how to do this?
Any advice on how to make this process go smoothly?
Any help at all would be great. Thanks
If I purchase this will I have to purchase a custom driveshaft? I have an '89 manual tranny, np231 transfer case, and a dana 35 rear. I'm trying to save as much as I can in the process.
Well, I have a few manuals and none of them show anything about the A/C system and it's components so I don't know what to look for. Does anyone have a diagram or something of the sort I can take a look at? Thanks!
So the previous owner used my rig for strictly off road purposes and it currently doesn't have A/C or heat. He said when I purchased it that he had removed the condenser. To regain A/C do I only have to replace the condenser and it will work again? I don't know much about A/C at all, so this is...
Well, I have the Peugeot BA 10/5 tranny and a np231 transfer case and will have an 8.25 rear axle soon.. not sure if that makes any difference. What will work with this setup? (Driveshaft wise, when I get an SYE or HnT)
So If I purchase this yoke http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=IROR&Product_Code=IR-X_HNT I'll be alright with the front dshaft?
Well, I'm trying to see if I can purchase an SYE and use a front driveshaft off another jeep.. i've heard of others doing this and wanted to know if it's possible for me to?
I don't really want to purchase the SYE without knowing what I need.
Thanks!
Okay, so I've measured the length of my current stock drive shaft from the outer lip of seal to the centerline of the u joint and it's 34 1/2" .
Now when I order a new driveshaft to go along with the SYE is that the size I need to go with? (34 1/2")
Or do I need to get a different size?
Thanks
