97 xj 4wd, auto trans, 4.0L. do i need some kind of special tool to disconnect the bottom transmission line from the radiator? i was replacing the radiator and didn't expect to see a quick connect coupling on the bottom trans line where it connects to the radiator.

anyone know if my NP-261 transfer case is original to my 97 xj? i was under the assumption that my stock transfer case was an NP-231. i just went out and read the tag and to my surprise it says new process model and a 261 stamped into the tag.
i've added short leafs to my chevys without removing the leaf pack but never tried to do it with a long add a leaf. or on a jeep for that matter. doesn't look like a ton of room in there under the xj. anyone ever accomplished adding a long leaf without removing the entire sping pack?
rear is now locked, front is still open but i want to lock it. aussie does not recommend running their front locker in a vehicle without having lockout hubs. just wondering if anyone is currently doing this on their xj with the stock automatic hubs and how it reacts on the street.
anyone know what years of cherokee's that would have compatible skid plates with my 97 SE Automatic? i was looking for a set of factory skids mainly because my SE is naked underneath and i want to offroad it. front, transfer case, gas tank, etc... i need em all.

is anyone using the adjustable front coil spring spacers from rusty's or 1source manufacturing on their xj? mine is a 99 4door se 4.0L AW4. at $200 i'de like to know if these are going to hold up in the long run. i dont want to turn this into another boring/stupid lift kit thread. just lookin...
