    Bumpstop idea question

Hahaha I like that idea. Wish we had a Harbor Freight up here, but no go. Have to check Princess Auto, they just might have them for cheap. Thanks

    Bumpstop idea question

Rare occasion, but I like to think ahead and plan for everything. I just figure having a foam puck in there would lessen the blow when and if I do hit them. By cushioning the impact, not only would it be easier on my old bones:), but would also decrease the stress on the front end components...

    Bumpstop idea question

yeah that would be the ones. I had 30 pucks left over from years ago that I was going to use on my 77 Blazer for a body lift. Ended up going with a suspension lift on that instead and just held on to the pucks for almost 25 years. (Yup...I'm a packrat! Always an adventure when I go through all...

    Bumpstop idea question

Hey guys, I'm going to add a couple hockey puck bumpstops to the front and as I was looking through the threads on it, I noticed a few guys said they were pretty solid when you hit them. Me old...no like hard bumps hahaha I saw some posts about foam ones you can buy, but I'm a cheap bastard so...

    few newbie questions

My bad. I thought those dips**ts dropped that idea. I guess insanity really is contagious. I'll be doing a lot of work on my '89 2 door this winter, so I'm sure I'll find them all. At least I have both sets of tools and a beer fridge hahaha

    few newbie questions

yup...hub97 has it right. Both of my XJ's were built in the US of A and I can use either the metric or inch style because they are the same. A 114.3 seats perfectly on the Jeeps because 114.3mm "IS" 4.5 inches. The big mistake some people make is trying to use a 114mm pattern which will not fit...

    few newbie questions

    1) I just recently picked up a rear soundbar from a '96 Cherokee ($20 with speakers) and it fits in my '89 where the center interior light is. It is held up by the trim above the doors and was super easy to mount and wire. I'll have to cut into the headliner when I put some decent aftermarket...

It will be my DD so I'm trying to keep the weight down to keep something resembling decent fuel mileage. Right now I only have the factory skids, but there aren't a lot of rocks in Saskatchewan (except the piles in farmer's fields hahaha) A rear bumper with a tire carrier, rails and a brush...

    Flare poll

I saw that thread. Really like the ones the guy made, but I'm trying to save a little cash with mine. I can only work part time because of health issues so money is pretty tight. I have seen a few XJ's that use the Wrangler flares and was curious what others thought and if the Wrangler's are a...

    Flare poll

What do you guys think are the better/nicer looking fender flare set up to use on the Cherokee? From what I've read, Bush Wackers can't take the cold (-40 temps up here are common in winter) and crack easily, never mind the insane price, so no go there. I'll have wheels with a 4.25 backspace and...

Anyone else have some more advise on this and any changes I should make to my plans? Could really use the help before I commit to it and start buying the JY parts. I guess I can do away with the LCA's for now until I go to a taller lift.

What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today? Yesterday I picked up a set of Ranger wheels that look like the Centerlines and a oil seperator/breather from a Quad 4 Pontiacfrom th JY for a total of $65. The breather is a nice compact little unit (4"L x 2.5"W x 3"T) that should look good after I figure...

OME 934 ZJ coils - How much lift?

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but what are the 934's. Are they OEM ZJ's that are heavy duty or after market units?

I'm looking to get around 3.5 inches of lift on my XJ. I haven't had a chance to take a look at the Tracker LCA's to see if they're straight or not yet. I can always take them to a buddy's place and put the clearance bend in them if I need to. I am considering cutting off one end and putting in...

I know the coils have to be from a V8, just wasn't sure if I could use WJ coils so thanks on that one. I need to know if the swaybar and tie rod have to be from the V8 and if I can use the WJ or the ZJ's.

Hey guys, I'm planning on doing a build this winter on my '89 2 door XJ with a 4.0L and I‘m looking for advice. My budget is real tight right now so I’m doing a budget boost for now so I can go play with my bud and his YJ. So far ground clearance has been the only thing that has kept me from...
