i have a 96 xj 4x4 4.0L will an alternator off of a 97 4.0L work? is it direct bolt on or do i need to redo wiring? thanks dave

well here goes i have a 96 xj 4L and an auto trans when i leave for work it idles 650-750 plus its been sitting all night and around 45deg outside, i have a 25 mi drive to work and idles great when i go to lunch about 11am it again idles great when i leave for home around 7pm it idles around...

heres some pix of my 96 3in lift and 30s i want to lift the rear 1more inch

actually i think its the battery casuing the problem my lights and stuff were all kinds of dim

my 96 4L is idling at 250-350 rpms any idea when warm outside idles around 700:viking:

did you stalk it or treestand, or blind?
