    Weird start-up question

The battery is still the most likely culprit. They have a habit of dying off in cold weather. Even if the battery does hold a charge for a short time, it still needs to be replaced, if testing the alternator shows a good output. You can have the alternator tested free at most parts houses -- I'm...

    Truck and camper or RV?

My experience with motor homes hasn't been all that great. I had a 5th wheel that I sorta liked, it sure towed great but between repairing it and the truck frequently, I sold 'em both. Then I found a deal on a class 1 that I couldn't pass up so I tried that. It was ok to drive but I couldn't get...

    AJ's Rockrail troubles...

Here I went and crawled under my Jeep in the rain to get you pics, too. They're here if you wish. Congrats and I'm real glad it worked out well, I think you'll be real pleased. :yelclap: btw, that's red clay mud that looks like rust on my rails. The camera flash made the mud look...

    AJ's Rockrail troubles...

XJ's do vary from vehicle to vehicle, it could be that you got one that has a bummer pinch seam. I'll post pics of mine tomorrow, too. btw, when I said to jack the thing in place, do that before bolting it to the frame rail, even before you drill the holes in the frame rail. Its too late for...

    AJ's Rockrail troubles...

These rails are designed to be mounted to the pinch seam, you have to drill holes. That's where the real strength of the rails are, at that connection. The frame rail feet are just for support.

    AJ's Rockrail troubles...

I had similar troubles when I first started fitting my AJ's Super Rails. Use a jack (two's even better!) to initially snuggle the rails into place. Get a friend to help, its a lot easier. Put the jack(s) under the rail, not the arms. Don't lift so hard that you get the truck light on the jack...

    NorCal: Parting out 94 2WD

A friend bought this from an insurance co. as a heart donor so the engine is spoken for, all else is up for grabs. It hit a deer and they totaled it, but the damage is slight, IMO. Emerald green, all body great except for the grille, front fenders minor. Radiator is gone, but other engine...

Showing my age too, I suppose... but I vote for "Secret Agent Man". Johnny Rivers, yeah, man.

The new RE LA 5.5" Extreme Duty???

The RE LA kit is still a 2-link (radius arm) setup. I'm a big fan of RE stuff but check out Full Traction's 4-link kit. Very close to the way the stock setup is made and should ride much better than RE's and probably avoid the DW. I don't have enough details yet to compare clearances. Components...
